6 out of 5 from a deep sea diver.
I seriously injured my back falling off a container… Spent years seeing physio…accupunture and all sorts. A dancer friend recommendedme something like this. I tried a couple but thus one… Is the best. So much so I’ve sent it to about 10 people in my industry (I’m a deep sea diver) and our bodies get a fair beating.Seriously great product. Lightweight so great for travel. I have both the 12 and smaller one.

Very light but firm
Slightly softer than lacrosse balls, very light weight but dense so has kept its shape. The bumps are good for fascia release

It should be called the painball!
Do not dismiss this because it looks so…nondescriptFor best results, you need the services of Kelly Starret, so go buy the Supple Leopard book. This ball works a treat getting into tissues, muscles etc.I am a runner with a bit of duck foot going on, so my hips are biased in a bad way.Doing the Supple Leopard exercises on my hip and psoas using this is…a rather painful, very useful experience. It also works wonders on parts of your body that aren’t in so much pain, like my neck. This is a wonderful addition to my pain cave :).

Best purchase this year
I have had dodgy glutes, the mini orb has been brilliant to pinpoint the place to massage.

Ok, but not top notch.
Very lightweight and doesn’t feel substantial in the hand. Quite firm, creaks ominously when a lot of weight is put on it, but so far does the job it’s meant to. Would probably recommend spending the extra money on getting a Supernova if I were to buy again.

Poor design
The ball has a company emblem 4cm diameter, which is recessed from the rest of the nodules; this means that when rolling it over your muscles, the ball keeps shifting about the emblem, rather than feeling like a continuous massage motion. How to spoil an otherwise good design.

okay
This is fine but I prefer a heavier weight and this is very light.
