Tasty Bars
These Myprotein bars are pretty tasty and a great protein boost for the day! I enjoyed having them with my coffee as a sweet treat replacement. Surprisingly I found them to not be as sickly as other flavours and brands I’ve tried. I do think, for the price per bar, the box is quite expensive for what you get.

A yummy treat!
These protein bars got the thumbs up in our house. They were the perfect size to satisfy our craving for something sweet. We all loved the soft and chewy texture of these bars. They have a gorgeous caramel flavour, although they might be just a bit too sweet for some.We were also attracted by their very visually appealing foil wrapper, which gave us the feeling of having something rich and healthy at the same time. These bars are ideal for hitting that hunger spot when you’re on the go, as you can easily store them in your handbag or backpack and take them with you.We’re happy to recommend these protein bars to all caramel lovers out there!

Sweet to bland and a bit messy to eat
When I first tried one of these bars my tastebuds instantly went back in time to eating a Caramac bar. Unfortunately this memory was short lived as I’ve now eaten quite a few of these bars and it just hasn’t quite got the same taste. These bars are a lot softer than I was expecting them to be – the outer layer isn’t hard as you bite down into an almost gooey layer then something a little chewier but which won’t rip your teeth out. It does have a rich, creamy, sweet caramel taste to it to begin with but I find, like most protein bars, the taste disappears and I’m left chewing something a little bland. That said, it does still have that sweetness so if you are someone that craves chocolate and sweets then it does hit that spot and offer something a bit filling. One thing I’m not so keen on with these bars is they are a bit messy to eat – as soon as it’s opened there’s bits flaking off it and usually more coming off it with each bite. There’s usually quite a few bits left in the bottom of the packet too. At £2.34 per bar, it’s just not a cost effective snack.

Tasty, protein rich, low sugar bars
These Myprotein 60 gram layered cookie crumble protein bars taste really good without being overly sweet. They are double layered, big enough to satisfy, and have a great texture, a good balance of crunch and chew.With a whole 20 grams of protein in each bar and being low in sugar they are a convenient way to take in a reasonable amount of calories (206 per bar) and boost your protein intake when you need it. Great to have one in your pocket when out on a long hike to help keep you going, which is how I tend to use protein bars.Could be used either pre, during or post workout, or just as a protein rich snack.But be warned they are very moreish and you can soon get through a box of six. For me the only downside is they are too expensive to have regularly, based on the Amazon price of £16.99 at the time of this review.

Nice texture and taste good
I often find protein bars either too chewy or too hard, and the actual taste can often leave a lot to be desired. These bars were a really pleasant surprise. The chewy layers don’t get stuck in your teeth, and the crunchy bits really are nice and crunchy without being too hard. They are also not overly sweet, and don’t leave any artificial aftertaste. I tend to keep a bar in my bag in case I get stuck in a traffic jam or don’t manage to find time for lunch. These bars, unlike some others, don’t get forgotten at the bottom of the bag – they are too yummy! I love them!

A tasty way to stave-off hunger
I’m trying to lose some Christmas weight, but I’ve got so used to snacking that I need something that really fills me up, but isn’t full of sugar. At 206 calories a bar, these are a tasty way to do it. I found that one bar in the morning, coupled with glasses of water during the day was enough to keep me going to dinner time.The texture is kind of like a chocolate/nougat bar, and a lot less chewy than some protein bars on the market. I don’t feel like I’m giving my jaw a work out! The crispy balls on top are nice, although they often fall off and onto the floor when opening the bars.The packaging on the bars is a little stretchy, so might be difficult to open for those with limited dexterity.These bars are certainly on the premium-end of the market, so I won’t be eating them daily, just when hunger strikes, or I know I’ll be busy throughout the day and unable to sit down to a meal.

The best tasting bars I’ve ever eaten but expensive.
At the time of review these worked out at a little under £3 each which is very much top end even for larger bars.The bars are fairly large at 60g each and have a very good of macros. They contain 33g protein, 34g carbs (3.1g sugars) and 9.4g fat (5.2g saturates) with 10g of fibre per 100g. This is a very good balance.The protein is coming from milk whey and soy so quality complete proteins.Taste wise they are very good, probably th best I’ve ever had and better than many chocolate bars. They are soft and chewy with crunchy bits, nice flavour and sweetness with no hint of an aftertaste from the sweeteners.Overall these are decent bars. Amazing flavour and texture with very good macros but at the expense of price. As much as I like these I’m going to struggle to bring myself to pay £17 for another 6 of them but will be watching them for future discounts.

These bars have a good protein content in them. They taste fantastic, a lovely chewy bar with a crispy layer. They were quite filling aswell for a snack bar. Really enjoyed although I felt they were quite pricy for a pack of 6

Delicious High Protein Snack Bars
Myprotein’s layered protein bars offer a delicious snack with 20 grams of protein per bar. These bars feature a white chocolate and cranberry flavored white layer topped with a gold chocolate flavored layer – creating a tasty white gold bar.The top and bottom layers combine crispy cereal pieces and creamy white chocolate coating. Each bar contains 220 calories and just 3 grams of sugar thanks to being sweetened with sucralose rather than sugar.These protein-packed snack bars are also gluten free, vegetarian friendly, and made without GMOs. They come individually wrapped for on-the-go portability.However, the distinct layers do tend to blend together, making the ‘layered’ aspect less defined. And some may find the sweetness overpowering or the price point costly for protein bars.Overall, Myprotein’s white gold bars offer a crunchy, chocolatey, high protein snack.
